Heather bases her coaching platform on the art and science of training.  Her focus is on maximizing an athlete’s time, understanding their history, goals, strengths and areas of needed growth to help each athlete achieve their endurance aspirations.  Heather provides the opportunity to help each athlete understand the why’s and what’s of training and she continually looks outside the box.  While a heavy emphasis is on the practice of their sport it is just a piece of the puzzle; technique, strength/flexibility, nutrition, mental skills, rest/recovery and stress levels all need to be considered to maximize the athlete’s goals.

In addition to coaching adult athletes, Heather also works with junior triathletes (12+ years old) and works under the guidance of Jenny Weber, the founder of the Z3 High Performance Triathlon Team for youth and juniors – a team focused on draft-legal racing at the highest level based out of Des Moines, Iowa. In 2015, with Triathlon being added to the NCAA list of emerging sports for women, 8 schools were awarded scholarship monies. One of Heather’s juniors was one of the athletes awarded a scholarship to attend Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. Click here to read more.

Heather has been coaching since 2005 and started with P3 in 2009 after her last season racing as a Professional Triathlete. Since, she has helped hundreds of athletes achieve their athletic goals from finishing their first Ironman to winning their age group.

Besides coaching, Heather is also Director of Athlete Programming, organizing and leading many of the P3’s programs that compliment an athlete’s training.
